Where do you host test days?
All current arrive-and-drive test days are held at Clay Pigeon Raceway (DT2 9PW).
Additional circuits may be added in the future.
Can more than one driver use the kart on the day?
Yes. You may share the kart with another driver, but each additional driver must be listed on the circuit’s sign-on sheet and meet the track’s safety requirements.
Please note:
-
Only one driver is permitted on track at a time
-
Additional drivers must supply their own safety gear or request equipment hire in advance
-
Damage liability still applies regardless of who is driving at the time
FAQ
Do I need previous karting experience?
No prior experience is required, but basic kart control is recommended. Our mechanic can offer guidance and help you get comfortable before your sessions begin.
Are track fees included in the price?
Track fees are not included. These must be paid directly to the circuit on the day.
What safety equipment do I need?
Drivers must wear a helmet, race suit, gloves, and suitable footwear.
We can provide equipment upon request prior to the test day, subject to availability.
What happens if the kart breaks down?
Our mechanic will repair any mechanical issues that arise due to normal running.
These karts operate under heavy stress, so occasional issues can occur. We’ll work to get you back out as quickly as possible.
Do you run in wet weather?
Yes — the test day will continue in wet conditions.
Wet tyres are available at an additional cost if required.
What time does the day run?
Standard running time is 11:00–16:00 (5 hours), though this may vary depending on circuit scheduling.
Is fuel included?
Yes, all fuel for the day is provided.
What happens if I damage the kart?
All damage is chargeable to the customer. We provide a full price list of parts so you know exactly what each component costs. Your £100 damage deposit will be used first to cover any minor damage. Anything exceeding £100 will be invoiced separately. Your deposit is returned within 3 days after the test day, providing no outstanding repair costs remain.
Can I bring my own data logger?
Yes, you may use your own logger if preferred. A data logger is also provided as standard.
